Nail problems can be difficult to diagnose and you should always speak to a pharmacist before attempting any treatment. Nevertheless, the questions below can act as a first step towards identifying whether you have a fungal nail infection.
If you have one or more of the symptoms below, please visit your local pharmacist.*
Important Questions to Answer
Are your nails discoloured (brown, white or yellow)?
Are you nails thickened?
Is the condition spreading to other nails?
Do your nails sometimes feel painful?
* Your pharmacist will be able to confirm whether or not you have a fungal nail infection, and recommend a suitable treatment. Please note that you should always tell your pharmacist if you have diabetes, a weak immune system or poor blood circulation (over-the-counter treatments may not be suitable and you may need to discuss treatment options with your doctor). Also, let your pharmacist know if you’re on any medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have a severe fungal nail infection or if more than two nails are infected, you will need to speak to your doctor.
